
You watch as food is constantly being delivered to tables. Then you realize that the food is served as it comes out – they don’t wait for the entire order. It’s hot, it’s fresh, and it’s killer! This practice is refreshingly honest and is a clear representation of how much they care about the food. They will dash common practices just to ensure the food is fresh off the iron!
Jose Lamboy hit us up and suggested this place. He said we must try the pork belly steam buns and the green onion pancake. Well, it was an awesome suggestion!
We had the Green Onion Pancake Wrap with Beef and it was incredible!!! Like, seriously craving it as my fingers fly across the keys. Crisp fresh veggies inside of a flaky green onion pancake. The filling… so super savory. The charred beef fills your senses. Mmmmm…
Next we had the Pork Belly Steam Buns. The soft steamed buns make the perfect vessel for slow cooked pork belly delicious with crispy pickled vegetables and cilantro. Pour some of that ginger sauce on it and take a big bite... a perfect balance of textures, the softness of the roll, the chewiness of the meat, and the crunchiness of the vegetables.

And we have to give an honorable mention to the pancit. The beef was incredible – charred and flavorful. The dish was perfect. Not greasy, and with a delicious egg creating a sauce on top. We clearly have a soft spot for eggs.
We highly recommend Z-Counter! The food is amazing and will be on our personal “pick some up on the way home” list.
